The spirit of travel
Your Honeymoon stay transports you to 3 magical places that Africa invites you to discover. A cosy lodge hidden in tropical vegetation, magnificent refuge surrounded by forests and rivers, making it a perfect romantic escape. An authentic luxury Safari Camp that takes you back to the time of the first travellers discovering Kruger. New experiences and the beauty of an extraordinary African landscape for the greatest pleasure of your senses.
In xitsonga, Timbavati means "the place where something sacred descended from Heaven to Earth", referring to the rare white lions of the Timbavati reserve. A particular place, blessed by the Gods, where you will live 3 fabulous days.
Between safaris at sunrise and sunset, candlelit dinners under a starry sky and moments of relaxation in the heart of nature, each day is an invitation to share privileged moments together. The grandiose landscapes, the richness of the wildlife and the charm of the accommodations create an atmosphere conducive to romance and escape. This journey continues to the Cape, between ocean, mountains and vineyards, for a honeymoon mixing adventure, refinement and unforgettable memories.

Highlights
Day-by-day itinerary

Welcome to South Africa!
Upon arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, your English-speaking representative welcomes you, assists you and provides you with your travel documents. You then take your flight directly to Nelspruit, northeast of Johannesburg, close to many national parks and reserves.
Nelspruit → Blyde River Canyon
Upon arrival in Nelspruit, you are transferred to your accommodation in the Blyde River Canyon region. You settle in for 2 nights on a half-board basis, with dinner and breakfast included, in a charming lodge perfect for a romantic getaway in the heart of nature.
The lodge features seven villas set apart from one another, prioritizing privacy. Each one has personalized décor, featuring objects from around the world. You will enjoy a private pool with views of the landscape, lounge beds on the terrace, outdoor showers, a wood-burning fireplace, and a bathtub.
Activity suggestions during your stay:
Picnic by the Sabie River : settle in below the small Timamoon waterfall for a meal accompanied by a glass of wine, to the sound of the river and birdsong.
Hiking in the valley : a 7 km trail allows you to discover the surrounding landscapes. Along the way, you may have the opportunity to spot red duikers, lizards, caracals, or fish eagles.
Panoramic hot air balloon flight : weather permitting, departures take place at sunrise from a site near Hoedspruit. Offered since 2003, these flights lasting approximately one hour fly over the Lowveld section of the Blyde River. The escarpment forms a natural amphitheater that houses the area of prevailing winds. This is a scenic flight over the landscape, not a safari dedicated to observing the Big Five.

Discovery of Blyde River Canyon
After your breakfast, you set off for a guided day discovering Blyde River Canyon. Located between Sabie and Hazyview, your lodge is a perfect starting point for exploring this region of cliffs, forests and waterfalls.
The canyon is distinguished by its steep terrain and subtropical vegetation. You discover the sites of Bourke's Luck Potholes, Three Rondavels, Pinnacle Rock and God's Window, which reveal different facets of these landscapes. Between Graskop and Blyde River Canyon, you also admire the Berlin and Lisbon waterfalls.
You then visit the village of Pilgrim's Rest, born during the Transvaal gold rush in the late 19th century. Thousands of prospectors crossed the mountains and rugged terrain of the region hoping to make their fortune. Classified as a national monument, the village preserves the memory of this era.

Your African adventure in all its glory!
Blyde River Canyon → Parc National Kruger
After your breakfast at the lodge, you are transferred to the Kruger National Park to continue your journey into the heart of the South African bush.
The park is home to the Big Five in particular. Your stay at the camp allows you to enjoy the proximity of nature and the calm of this wild environment.
You will stay for 2 nights in a safari tent at Hamiltons Tented Camp, in a setting that combines comfort and immersion in the heart of nature. Your stay includes full board, with tea, coffee, wine and local drinks included.
At the end of the day, you set off on your first sunset safari, before returning to the camp for dinner.

Kruger Park Safari Day
You spend a full day at Hamiltons Tented Camp, punctuated by two safaris, at sunrise and sunset. Between outings, you return to camp for meals and refreshments, accompanied by the sounds of the bush.
Indicative programme for the day:
5:30 a.m.: wake-up and morning tea.
6:00 a.m.: departure for morning safari.

Departure towards the sacred land of Timbavati
Parc National Kruger → Timbavati
You leave this morning for a morning safari, before returning to camp for brunch. You then check out of your accommodation to continue your stay in the bush.
You are transferred to the Timbavati reserve, known notably for the presence of rare white lions.
Upon arrival, you settle in for 3 nights in a luxury chalet at Kambaku River Sands, on full board with tea, coffee, wine and local beverages included.
After some rest time, you set out for your first sunset safari in the reserve.

Wildlife and beauty of the savanna
You enjoy two full days at Kambaku River Sands, in the Timbavati reserve. On the program: two safaris per day, meals at the lodge and time to relax. Walking tours are also possible to complement your discovery of the savanna.
Between outings, you can enjoy the Sunset Spa and its facilities:
Two treatment rooms.
A fitness center.
A pool to cool off.
A hammam and sauna for men and women.

Sunrise Safari and Return to Johannesburg
After a coffee and some pastries, you head out for your last sunrise safari in the Timbavati reserve. You enjoy the morning light and wildlife viewing one last time before leaving the savanna.
After brunch, you check out of your accommodation and say goodbye to the rangers, trackers and camp staff. You are then transferred to Hoedspruit.
You take your flight to Johannesburg.
Upon arrival, you are transferred to the Peech Hotel, where you settle in for the night. The rest of the day is free.

Discovery of Johannesburg and Departure
After your breakfast at Peech Hotel, your driver-guide will pick you up from your accommodation.
Depending on the time available before your flight, you can discover the Apartheid Museum and the neighborhoods of Maboneng and 44 Stanley, to complete your visit to Johannesburg.

The authorities may also request:
a departure ticket from the territory (return or onward flight),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay,

Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay.
South Africa applies strict rules concerning travel by minors. Any child traveling with both parents or alone with one of them must present their full birth certificate (original or certified copy).
